No account is required to use the visualizer or upload an image. However, an account is required to save projects and designs and is required to use the sharing features.
The visualizer is a browser-based tool and works in all modern browser types (Chrome, Edge, Firefox etc.). While the visualizer can be used on any device type (desktop, mobile, tablet), we do recommend that you use a computer to make masking adjustments as this can be quite challenging on a smaller device without a mouse.
Yes. Sign into your visualizer account, save the entire project using the save option in the upper right, then use the Snapshot feature to save the current design/product selections. You can save multiple designs this way and reapply them onto the main image by clicking the thumbnail images in the Snapshot menu. You can also include any saved Snapshots in the printable Report
To save a design to your computer or device, there are two options: Download an image of the current design or access the printable Report and either print it or save it as a PDF file from your print menu. (The Report area lets you include each of your saved Snapshot designs in the Report. The Report will also show a breakdown of selected products/colors.)
Upload a photo to get started. Our software will automatically recognize areas of the property so you can start designing in less than a minute. This is a rough visualization, best for early project planning. Looking for a more customized and precise design experience? For a small fee, let our expert’s custom-prepare your image for the most realistic visualization experience possible.
Higher quality images produce better results. Take pictures of the home in neutral lighting. For best results, avoid situations where the sun is coming directly from behind the house. When taking pictures with a phone, hold phones sideways so that the picture is taken in landscape mode. When sending or uploading from phones, select the “Large” or “Actual” image size.
Make sure you are using the original, unedited, and uncropped image. If you received the image from somewhere else, it may have been compressed during transfer and you may need to change methods for sending/receiving images. (Make sure to select “Large” or “Actual” image sizes when sending images.) You can enlarge the image using a photo-editing software like Photoshop.
Note–Excessive enlargements can result in blurry images as the pixels are forced to stretch to fill a larger space.
The visualizer will accept blueprints or house plans if they have been converted to a JPG or PNG file format. (The visualizer cannot accept PDF files.) You can turn your PDF into an image format using a screen capture program/feature to take a closeup of the desired elevation from your plans. You may need to enlarge your screenshot depending on your screen resolution.
Preparing a custom photo is somewhat complex. Our team of trained specialists prepare and map photos to capture the intricate details for polished and realistic results. You get the most freedom to design with ease. Each image costs $75 to prepare. Payment is handled through a secure PayPal portal or with debit/credit card.
