Use all tools in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Some of the basic tools that may be required for installation:

Installation Tips And Tricks

Determine Run Length

Calculate the maximum horizontal run on the wall to determine the minimum pocket-size required.

Check Surface Temperature

Check the surface temperature of the siding throughout the day as you are installing.

Allow The Siding To Float

This is a floating system, make sure the siding can slide left to right after installation.

Installation Order

Best practice is to install the siding first, and then the trim.

Blocks, Vents and Fixtures Installation

All penetrations and fixtures (lights, hose bibs, shutters, etc.) must be installed in a way to allow siding to slide freely behind it.

Lightweight And Flexible

Carry AZEK Lap Siding on its side to maintain its structure.

The AZEK Lap Siding System is unlike any other because the 16-foot board lengths, hidden nails hems, and nail hem brackets work together to keeps joints tight and to limit the number of joints needed per wall. Meanwhile the rabbeted trims allow the system to properly float on the wall so those joints can remain tight and never gap like other frustrating lap siding systems.
